The Nigeria Union of Journalist, Ogun State Council been directed by the Ogun State Caretaker Committee has thrown its full weight behind the decisions of the union as regards the federal government’s ban on twitter at the the ongoing third National Conference in Rivers, PORTHARCOURT
Leading the Ogun Delegates to the conference is the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee, Pastor Mrs Omolola Adeyinka, who revealed that the problems facing Nigeria at the moment is more than the ban put on twitter handle and rather than the government looking at the other side as it affects them but take a second look at those who make a daily living from that medium.
Mrs Omolola Adeyinka also commended the National body for putting the conference together at this moment where all hands need to be on deck to chart a new course for the country.
From Ogun State delegates are the state Caretaker Committee Secretary, Wale Oluokun, State Chairperson of National Association of women journalists, Modupeola Sobukonla, Chairman of the Ogun State Television Chapel, Bisi Alarape and a member of the state caretaker Committee, Bunmi Adigun.
The third national conference has as its theme, “The Media, Insecurity and National Unity”.
